Concerning the PowerPoint presentations
The time slot for each presentation in technical oral sessions is 15 minutes total time, which means that the presentation should be slightly shorter. We recommend a 12 minute long presentation, then we have 3 minutes for startup and questions. 😊 The projection system at the conference venue is designed to run a resolution of 1920x1080px on 16:9 Widescreen format and projection screens are designed for widescreen projection. Microsoft PowerPoint offers to design slides in 1920x1080px (16:9 widescreen) format, which we encourage people to do, so their slides fills the entire projection canvas. The aim of the symposium
is to strengthen the relationships between practicing engineers, researchers and scientists within the fields of Rock Mechanics and Engineering Geology with special emphasis on, but not limited to, the Nordic region. This symposium is a platform to gather experts within the area of rock mechanics with the topical themes related to current state of research, infrastructure, rock caverns, tunnelling, mining, use of underground space for different type of storage and case histories. All are invited to share their experience and knowledge with their Nordic colleagues by delegation in the technical program as well the social one. The conference will be held at the Grand Hotel Reykjavík, Iceland. CALL for PAPERS - Abstracts All participants are invited to submit an abstract for a poster or an oral presentation.
